I was instantly hooked by Hult's level of global reach and integration.

WHY HULT

I was instantly hooked by Hult's level of global reach and integration. The idea that I could start out in London, move to Shanghai, and finish in the U.S., all while receiving a consistent and harmonized standard of education, was very appealing to me. Hult's structure is extremely reflective of transnational firms, which require the same rigor and standard no matter where in the world they are operating.
The other aspect of Hult that appealed to me was the accelerated nature of the MBA program. It's something that would allow me to pursue a practical business education, all while minimizing my time away from the job market. I felt that this was a predominant factor in staying competitive in today's job market.

My favorite part of the atmosphere on campus was the openness of the students and staff. I was motivated by Hult staff's dedication to offering the best education by pro-actively getting involved with students. It's encouraging to feel that, as a student, your voice is constantly being taken into account, and that the academic and Student Services team are always happy to listen.
Two of the most inspirational faculty members I had the pleasure of encountering at Hult were Agnes Nairn and David James. Agnes Nairn, who teaches International Marketing, is inspiring because she embodies the principles of expertise, ethics, and humor. David James, who instructed us on Managerial Skills, is inspiring because he has truly mastered the art of personal branding and delivers a perspective that is completely interesting and unique.

Every course at Hult managed to offer something that has been either extremely valuable or interesting for me. However, I would have to say that Financial Management and International Marketing were the most rewarding courses. Both courses manage to foster a deep understanding of the subject matter, while highlighting the risks and rewards of the professional lifestyle and career.

In the classroom, the degree of international experience and students' willingness to participate generally fosters lively discussions, while faculty members provide practical insights that reflect the nature of day- to-day business problems.

During my time at Hult, I joined several of the student clubs and was involved with several off-campus extracurricular activities. I also worked closely with our supportive and diligent Student Services team to launch the Hult Swim Group. I am also helped to coordinate the efforts of the Hult Music Group, and attended meetings of the Hult Salsa Group on a regular basis.
Outside of Hult, I was involved with the tango and power yoga communities here in London, in order to stay fit. I was also active in my former professional networks, which have a strong presence in the city and hold events throughout the year.

Some of my most memorable moments at Hult were when I bonded with my classmates, either socially or while poring over assignments late at night at Hult House. Hearing my colleagues' personal stories and about their backgrounds is something that always manages to remind me of why I chose Hult in the first place.

A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE

I would have to say that the main driver for my decision to study in London was the international diversity of the city. In my experience, London is one of the few cities in the world that is truly global. As you walk through the streets, you will easily hear more than a dozen languages, and meet a broad range of interesting people. I think that is reflected at Hult's London campus as it offers all of the Hult programs. Completing the MBA in London exposed me to a wide range of people, including undergrads, Master of Finance students, etc. who contributed widely to both the social and educational value of my degree.

I plan to participate in the Global Campus Rotation program, and hope to study in Shanghai. My main aspiration in rotating to Shanghai is to gain an insight into the Chinese economy. From my experience working in Latin America, I realized what is generally reported in media seldom reflects the true reality of the facts, and being able to see a Chinese economic hub with my own eyes will be a great advantage in understanding the world economy as a whole.

During my time in Shanghai, I hope to better understand what makes the world's second largest market tick, so as to comprehend what really drives business around the globe.

MY CAREER

After my MBA, I will return to the world of consulting with a more holistic and refreshed perspective on the industry. I believe that Hult's educational approach will have most certainly helped me, as everything I have learned had a practical application, and my professional network I boosted at Hult continues to expand exponentially.
