An all rounder in many respects, Jessica Garza has emerged as a sparkling star with an aura about her. More can be expected of her, in the near future.

Jessica Garza, Mexican writer, actress, singer, director and stage manager. Jessica Garza has experienced them all. Recently, she is in news for being nominated as favorite Actress in the African Oscars for adeptly performing her role Jessica in “The Film of Sentimental Value”, where her co-stars were Tommy Lister and Malik Yoba.
The awards ceremony will be hosted in September in Los Angeles, this year. She won African Oscar in 2013 for her song America, soundtrack of the African film “The Fetus.”
The film “The Fetus” revolves around the story of a Mexican immigrant in America who is raped and after the incident the unborn foetus continues a monologue with the viewers, asking to prevent abortion. The film is directed by Nigerian John Chuka.
Jessica has been a strong and talented actor, singer over the years and this has not been a sudden decision she took in her life. She has been pursuing studies along these lines, having completed BA in Theatre, in 2004-08 from the University of America, (UDLAP), Puebla. She completed her ballet lessons from the Royal Academy of London. In 2011, she completed her MFA Acting for film, New York Film Academy, Los Angeles. Jessica has also been working on the production of her first Film Script, “Perfect Beauty”, which is going to be filmed Mexico City next year. Jessica will be starring in this film next to Adrian Alonso.
As a singer, in 2013 she released her first single called Broken Memories available on Itunes and also has participated in other music videos like; “With Us or Against Us ARJUN”, and “Kamran & Hooman”. She has been also part of several musicals and Theatre plays like “I Love you, You Are Perfect, Now Change”, “El Cielo en la piel”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and the” Christmas Show.”
She also worked in several Mexican Telenovelas such as “Pobre Rico Pobre”, “Secretos del Alma” and “Lo que Callamos las Mujeres , Among her acting career in films she has been part of “Wish You Were Here”, “The Proposal”, “Oblivion”, “Napkins”, “Ellie parker” and quite recently, “Of Sentimental Value.”
Jessica Garza is the first Mexican actress to have won an African Oscar. She has many notable performances to her credit and she is still on her way to become one of the best artists of the modern era. It is hoped that she will give more remarkable performances.
