(firmenpresse) - 120 speakers confirmed for London event dedicated to the telco debate from 5G to Connected Cars
Strategy and innovation across an industry experiencing dynamic change is a constant theme running through two days of discussion and networking at this year’s Total Telecom Congress at the Hilton Canary Wharf in London in October (4-5th).
Keynotes already confirmed for the Congress include Eelco Blok, Chairman of the Board of Management and CEO, KPN; Yogesh Malik, Group Chief Technology Officer, Vimpelcom; Tom Loozen, Senior Managing Director, Global Communications Industry, Accenture; Osman Sultan, CEO, Du; and Paul Berriman, Group CTO, PCCW and HKT Group.
“We operate in one of the most exciting and dynamic industries in the world but as it evolves it is becoming increasingly complex to navigate successfully,” said Total Telecom Managing Director Rob Chambers.
“Telcos are now bankers, insurance providers, television companies, content aggregators and much, much more, as well as their traditional role in connecting people and billing for that connection. They cannot do it alone – partnerships with peers, vendors, specialist firms offering new capabilities and even rivals, have become a must.
“Amid all this are the technology questions, from broadband rollout to 5G and alongside all that R&D and standardisation. At the congress we will be covering many of these issues and hearing directly from the people who matter – the people who are facing these challenges day by day,” he added.
Conference tracks on the opening morning include the outlook for and performance of European and global telcos, the expectations and realities of 5G and how to capitalise of emerging market growth. Also covered during the day will be issues around Virtualisation, Mobile Money, IoT, Regulation and Customer Service.
The second day gives an early focus on smart living, both in the home and in the smart city world of 5G. The need for a cohesive access strategy will also be debated as well as core infrastructure needs going forward, the OTT situation, Cybersecurity and Media and Content.
“I’m tremendously excited by the breadth of knowledge and seniority of the speakers at the Congress,” said Chambers.
“There is something for anyone involved with the successful development of our industry and the challenges that lie ahead”.
The Congress will also feature several Panel Discussions and Round Tables and an exhibition area.
