French Ministry for Foreign Affairs - „Centre de Crise“
In July 2008, the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs established a new centre for the management and coordination of international crises. The main task of this centre is the control of civil and military aid services. Within only a few weeks time, the centre was integrated in a building of the Ministry in Paris. From now on all services can be coordinated from a central office. This includes any services necessary for international crises, as soon as French citizens or citizens from alliance countries are involved.
The operators in the building coordinate the measurements the Ministry launches to solve these crises, but also have a permanent view on the developments in the world today.
The “Centre de Crise” is equipped with latest technology components, in order to fulfil its important tasks. The centre is operated 24 hours per day, seven days per week. This is especially ambitious for the visualisation technology in use. Therefore, eyevis displays are the products of choice, since they are well-known for their high quality and outstanding reliability.
In several control rooms and conference rooms in the building, eyevis large screen systems and displays have been integrated. A video wall made up of six 50” cubes serves as master display for the operators. A video wall made up of four 67” has been installed in the main conference room. Further cubes and LC displays were installed all over the building.
Especially for this project, eyevis developed a new touch surface for its cubes. This touch surface was first applied on the 80” cube at the “Centre de Crise“.
Of course, eyevis also delivered the necessary graphics controllers, cables, basements and accessories for the displays.
The eyecon wall management software guarantees the efficient operation of the connected large screen systems.
The installation at the “Centre de Crise” includes several large screen systems with the following eyevis components: 6 x EC-50-SXT+-DL, 5 x EC-67-SXT+-DL, 1 x EC-80-SXT+-DL, 5 x EYE-LCD5702,6 x NPX3800XE Controllers, 2 x ECS900R Servers and the eyecon Wall Management Software

For the control of the company’s network and its services, Oman Mobile established a new network operation centre in an existing buil¬ding. The fast growing of the company has lead to the decision to move the company to another building in the near future. Therefo¬re, the mobility of the installed components played a decisive role for the purchase.
This is one reason why Oman Mobile se¬lected an eyevis large screen system for the new control room. The professional and ro¬bust products made in Germany are the ideal solution for industrial heavy use.
The heart of the new control room is a large scale video wall made up of eyevis rear-projection units type EC-67-SXT+ -DL.
The cubes were built up in a four by three configuration and provi¬de a combined desktop surface with almost invisible gaps bet¬ween the adjacent cubes. Each of the cubes provides 67” screen diagonal and SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050 pixel).
The video wall is controlled by an eyevis netpix graphics controller which creates the combined desktop and allows shifting and scaling of the displayed sources independent from the borders of the individual cubes.
The eyecon wall management software gua¬rantees comfortable operation of the system and control over all connected signal sour¬ces.
The installation contains the following eyevis components: 12 x EC-67-SXT+ (DLP™-rear-projection cubes with 67“ screen, SXGA+ resolution and automatic double-lamp-system), NPX-3812-V16-D8-L2 (graphics controller), eyecon Software.
Other major installations were:
