(firmenpresse) - Zurich/ Switzerland, August 12, 2013 - The company SafeGuardSolutions/ Switzerland presents the unique emergency application SafeGuard24h - Accident prevention on modern smartphones with GPS support and Motion sensor. It fulfills all the functions to alert the emergency services and locating persons in accident situations.
From monitoring alone working people through to support private users, which are for example on motorcycle or climbing tour, nearly all practical scenarios are supported.
"In the past new technical developments, for example proven in car races came, into serial production of the automobile manufacturers. The Android SafeGuard24h application was developed on the basis of the German Professional Association issued guidelines (BGR139) to cover alone
working employees in dangerous jobs - as reported by Stephan Köhnk, Managing the near Zurich-based SafeGuardSolutions GmbH.
Thus now SafeGuard24h is an emergency application, which is proven in working safety. For the first time this is introduced to the modern multi-functional smartphones of private users. This emergency application was originally developed for lone workers in industry and crafts, which work in dangerous jobs. But it is also extremely well suited for leisure and outdoor sports enthusiasts as well as risk-patient” – so Köhnk on.
Unlike traditional app`s SafeGuard24h reacts completely autonomous to events like fall, violent acceleration, shock, or long rest. Because of smart phones sensors, provided data is evaluated and, depending on it's configuration, SafeGuard24h reacts with an alarm. If the produced alarms on the device are not resetted by the carrying person, it can for instance be transmitted to an alarm center, where one can view the transmitted GPS information of the help seeking person.
The transmitted alarms are sent as IP packets or as a SMS to the respective control centre and an operator can immediately recognize whether it is a positioning alert, a rest or a manually triggered alarm through the emergency call button.
Sensors sensitivity can be intuitively configurated without time consuming input.
The emergency application SafeGuard24h became the leading innovation in the field of preventive protection of persons in late April 2013 on the technical meeting of BDSW (Germany).
The app is available in several versions, the version of "ProSafe" with limited Functions up to version ProSafe+ that meets the technical and organizational norm of a PNG-11 (Personal alarm device with GSM network support).
The following functions and alarm types are supported:
• Automatic emergency call with hands-free connection
• Automatic notification via IP and SMS
• Provides GPS coordinates on a PC or smartphone
• Crash alert or fall alarm
• Timed alarm
• Movement alarm
• Silent alarm
• Connection to an emergency call and service control room.
Prerequisite for a functioning monitoring are GSM network coverage and GPS for localisation in the event of an accident.
Since the Android operating system currently has over 70% market share worldwide, SafeGuard24h was initially developed for Android. Immediately the SafeGuard24h-light version is available for download at the Google Play store under:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.pitcom.speedup&hl=de
