In 1980, right after he finished university, Ullrich Angersbach became a lecturer of finance and accounting at the Management Institute Hohenstein near Heidelberg. Thereafter he worked at a consulting company as a junior auditor and tax advisor in Frankfurt am Main. In 1982 he started working as Vice-CEO at UBG, a consulting company for real estate investments near Stuttgart. Later on he moved to an affiliated company of UBG, called ICA, and became one of its best sales persons. In 1984 he started his career at Matuschka Group, Munich, at the time Germany’s biggest bank independent wealth management company. In 1987, he moved to the US and became Vice President of Matuschka’s branch office in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
In 1992 he became the Director of BfG, a bank in Frankfurt am Main and helped them to create their first real estate fund with London properties. Thereafter he was in charge of a group within the commercial real estate division of DZ Bank, a large German co-operative bank and helped them with a concept for funding the DZ tower in Frankfurt am Main, the headquarter of DZ. Since 1994, Ullrich Angersbach headed a Swiss based Family Office of a German industrialist which mainly invests in real estate and private equity.

Co-Founder of a Fund Management Company
In 2001 Mr. Angersbach co-founded a fund management company, which went public in 2006 as Absolute Capital Management Limited at AIM of London Stock Exchange. Ullrich Angersbach served as its head of investor relations and marketing. During his tenure the assets under management increased from some $ 8 million to more than $ 2 billion. After he left the company by the end of 2007, two civil claims against him were filed in the US. However, both claims had been dismissed by the courts for good.

In 2008 Mr. Angersbach wrote a book about his experience on how to raise money for fund managers. His book and his extensive database of fund investors is the basis of his work as a marketing coach and consultant for fund management companies.
