(firmenpresse) - Tourists across the world prefer Greece to spend vacations in cruising or sailing in Greek waters. Greece has the 11th longest coastline in the world that gives the tourists much to discover while exploring Greece along the coast in a yacht. The coastline runs into 13,676 km. The country offers beautiful beaches, clear waters, favourable winds to sail along as well as culture and history. All this come wrapped in a package called, Greece Yachtcharter. Everyone visiting Greece shall find something or the other to suit his or her taste, vibrant nightlife on one island to secluded, untouched beaches of the other island. The yearlong sunshine makes sailing an inviting activity for the holidaymakers. However, the history lovers too can find some interesting archaeological sites that give an insight to Europe's oldest civilizations. If one loves sailing, she or he is bound to love sailing in Greece. More than 1400 islands on Greece coast include isolated islets as well as thrilling islands of Mykonos and Santorini. The small distance between any 2 beaches, (half a day's sailing or less than 25 nautical) makes it easier for the holidaymakers to enjoy every nuance of the coastline in leisure. One can even tweak the original cruising plan if someone in the group happens to prefer one beach to the other, you can always sail back to that place in less than a day. Long beaches with white sand, clear waters shimmering with turquoise shade, blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea all could be found in single place: Greece coast.
Greece encourages nautical tourism in the country; however, certain regulations should be followed while visiting the country for this purpose. People entering the country on board yacht, stamping of individual passports is not required. In case they choose other means (by air), passport would be stamped at the exit point. The skippers onboard should possess an International Certificate of Competence. Greece restricts scuba diving in its waters, in view of protecting the archaeological sites. The permission for scuba diving may be sought from the local authorities. Fishing is not allowed in scuba gear. Certain areas allow fishing with a snorkel.
